End of Footy Season…Time for a beer?
Without getting too far ahead of ourselves, things are looking up. COVID cases nationwide are going down, restrictions are easing and the warmer weather is starting. Even though many of us haven’t been able to be there in person, it has still been a good footy season, both locally and nationally. And I think we can all agree that it’s probably time for a beer and a Byron Bay Brewery Tour.
Treat yourself
If you and your mates or you and your team are itching for something to do now that footy season is winding up, come and celebrate with us! We are still running are regular tours as well as custom tours to accommodate to your needs and preferences. Flick us an email and we would be more than happy to help you out.
Fun in the sun
The start of the warmer weather is not only good for all the obvious reasons like long days at the beach and not dreading getting out of the shower. The warmer weather brings with it a whole range of new beers from our mates at the breweries. For example, Seven Mile has just come out with their new German Wheat Beer, perfectly refreshing and perfect for those long days at the beach (or even in the shower?).
Schoolies?
For all the year twelvers about to finish what will have been, to say the least, a very disruptive final year at school, here is the latest on what to expect regarding schoolies.
Good news! There are currently no restrictions that have been put in place by the government over the dates of your Schoolies holiday that would stop you from checking into your schoolies accommodation. All of you that are considering a Byron Bay day trip, rest easy, Byron will be open to all! Or if you prefer to take the hassle out of planning, come on one of our Byron Bay tours where we will take you around to all the local craft breweries and distilleries.
So, so long as there are no travel restrictions in place for your destination or place of origin, you will be permitted to travel on your schoolies holiday to celebrate graduation. I know we are all sick of hearing it but it goes without saying that all other restrictions such as social distancing will need to be adhered to during your stay. But the main thing is to have fun, you’ve earned it.
A sustainable region
I know we talk about beer a lot but it’s not all we do. Local, artisan spirits are also near and dear to our heart. And with the year coming quickly to a close (can you believe it!?) I think it’s worth reminding everyone of some of the great achievements of one of the distilleries we visit. Cape Byron Distillery, home to the famous Brookies Gin took home the title of Sustainable Distillery of the year at Icon Gin Awards in London. Their Slow Gin, made with local davidson plum, took home gold for best gin at the same ceremony. Fancy a Brookies gin tour?
Let’s finish 2020 with a bang
We knew 2020 couldn’t all be bad! There’s still plenty to celebrate and lots of good to look forward to. New local craft beers are being released frequently, our local distilleries are getting global recognition and we still live in the most beautiful region in Australia. Start off spring the right way and come and join us on a tour. Cheers.
