A Rainy Summer

Some of you may have noticed that it’s been a bit wet over the last week. And I bet most of you are wondering, ‘what is there to do in Byron on a rainy day’? Roads and garages are flooded, beaches have completely disappeared and your plans have likely been washed away with them. I think we are in for a rainy summer but I somehow don’t think that will stop tourists or locals from wanting to get out and do things.

Rainy weather = Brewery Tour

If you’ve been planning a Byron Bay day trip or holiday, I get that you might be a bit down about the wet weather. But there is more to Byron and the Northern Rivers than just the beach and the sunshine. I’ll tell you one activity that is arguably even better in the rain…And that’s a Byron Bay brewery tour. The crowds will be thinned and you’ll get to enjoy some true Northern Rivers weather without having to get wet yourself.

We offer door-to-door service for both our full barrel trip and our arvo session. We will pick you up from your accommodation and deliver you directly to a cold beer. How good is that? Our tours run Wednesday through to Sunday and can be customised to your specific needs. Spots are filling up quickly for the Christmas and New Year period so make sure to get in quick to secure yours. And if you’re reading this, scrambling to organise a work party or Christmas party, we’ve got you covered.

Restrictions Eased

With restrictions having recently been eased in both New South Wales and Queensland, venues such as the breweries and distilleries we visiting can accommodate more people. This also means the long awaited return of being allowed to stand up and have a beer. Live music and food trucks will be in full swing at most of the venues. Beer will be flowing and good times will be had by all (rain, hail or shine).

I’m sure you all know the drill by now but this still means that social distancing and basic sanitation is required. We do everything to ensure that our transport has been properly sanitised and know that the venues we visit still follow these rules. So, for you Victorians who can finally travel up north again, don’t be put off by the rain. Come and escape Melbourne and join us for a day out in the Northern Rivers, sampling artisanal spirits and craft beer.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

It’s probably the silliest season of all past silly seasons, for more reasons than usual. COVID, this weather, the US election. But just forget all that for a minute and focus on the things that are absolutely guaranteed that not even this year could mess up… A cold beer, an awesome brewery tour, a drive through the Northern Rivers, good food and good times. That is our Christmas present to all of you! And we would absolutely love it if you would raise your glass with us and toast to 2021.

See you on tour legends!
